| With over 40 years combined experience in television and newspaper journalism, Pauline Cronin and Ann Coughlan are an experienced two-person team of former RTÉ publicists with a proven track record, impeccable references from independent production companies and also from commissioning editors and management.
Pauline edited the television pages of the Sunday World before joining RTÉ as Publicist for Factual Programmes and Acquisitions including No Frontiers, Ear to the Ground, Cracking Crime, Townlands, Health Squad, Ask Anna, Ear to the Ground, eco.eye, The State We’re In, About the House, and Beyond the Hall Door.
Ann spent many years as Publicist for Entertainment Programmes in RTÉ on shows including The Late Late Show, Kenny Live, The Rose of Tralee, People in Need Telethon, Reeling In The Years, Bull Island, Irish Film and Television Awards, Eurosong and the Eurovision Song Contest both at home and abroad. Prior to entertainment she worked on Fair City.
We are highly skilled in press requirements specific to television programme publicity and have worked on programmes which consistently achieve high ratings often more in line with those expected for dramas. The recent (17th) series of RTÉ’s longest running factual series Ear to the Ground topped the half million mark. We have been publicising Ear to the Ground for the past six years, since leaving RTÉ, securing news stories in the dailies and Sundays, on a weekly basis, as well as regular TV highlights and presenter profiles for Ear to the Ground, throughout each 16 part series.
We have built up a strong client base through word of mouth recommendations from Ireland’s independent television industry.
Current clients include:
Gillian Marsh Productions - Vets on Call (all series)/Living The Wildlife/Seahorseman (tx July 2010)
Inproduction - Neven Maguire: Home Chef /Fresh From The Sea (June & July 2010) /Fresh From The Farmers’ Markets/Rachel’s Favourite Food
We have attained very high levels of publicity for many other production companies including Nemeton, Midas Productions, Animo Television, Sideline, Forefront Productions, Scannáin Dobharchú, Dovinia, Frontier Films and Stone Ridge Entertainment.
Our profile is now expanding with the addition of corporate clients such as Agtel Digital Media and Communications.
We also provide publicity for several RDS exhibitions and successful campaigns include Rude Health, Antiques Fair, Craft Fair and Mind Body and Spirit Festivals. We launched Rude Health Week in February for the IAHS and include health food distributors amongst our clients.
Working from our respective home offices means we are media friendly seven days a week, providing images and information to media at weekends and evenings when most PR agencies are closed. Our 24/7 availability to the media has played a major role in the success of our publicity campaigns. And our clients only pay for our expertise and experience - not soft furnishings and water coolers!
Working with independent producers involves working discreetly alongside in-house station publicists in RTÉ, TG4 and TV3 providing all relevant press releases and images for their websites. We also service provincial media directly.
Our service is very much proactive and clients are assured of a dedicated, proactive ongoing publicity campaign, promoting every series from start to finish.
We can tailor a quote to suit all budgets, and offer very competitive“ recession friendly” rates.
We are happy to provide examples of publicity achieved for any of our programmes and of course references from satisfied producers.
