Louth
Bordering on the Irish sea located in the North East of the country Co Louth has a rich past which is reflected in the landscape and architecture of the locality. From the imposing peaks of the Cooley peninsula where the Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea to the stunning scenery surrounding Carlingford, Louth claims the title of Ireland’s smallest county with an area of 820km² and a population in 2006 of 110,894 approximately. Bordering Northern Ireland its two main towns are Drogheda and Dundalk.
